I'm Ghana go to Ghana

Well, tomorrow morning I will board a plane to Accra, the capital of Ghana. I am so grateful for everyone who helped make it possible for me to attend this BYU Global Internship Abroad with Unite for Sight. Thank you again for all of your help and support!
I am going to try to update this blog as often as possible so I can share the many experiences I will have while on this incredible journey. I will post pictures, share stories, and give my thoughts on my adventures in Ghana. If you want to contact me while I am away or if you have any questions, feel free to email me or message me on Facebook.
As I prepare to leave, I am pretty sure I have reviewed my packing list over 100 times. There isn't too much to pack though, but of course, I am sure I forgot something. One suitcase has 600 pairs of reading glasses for the people we will work with along with some toys for the kids there, another suitcase is full of snacks, and my little carry-on has my clothes and other necessities. I guess that shows my priorities!! I will be leaving mostly everything there, so coming home my bags will be nice and empty!
There are so many emotions going through my head. I am anxious to go and serve those in Ghana. I am so ready to meet the people there and make lifelong friendships. However, I know I will miss my family and friends while I am gone. Good thing six weeks isn't that long! I'm sure I will fall in love with Ghana faster than I would ever imagine and won't be ready to come back home when the time comes.
Tomorrow, I'm Ghana go to Ghana and I am so excited!
